The infamous cast of Bravo Network’s popular reality series The Real Housewives of Atlanta always seem to find there way into the local news…literally.  According to an article in the AJ-C’s “The Buzz”, Atlanta housewife (actually “soon-to-be former Atlanta housewife”…her husband recently filed for a divorce) NeNe Leakes will join local NBC Affiliate, WXIA-TV, as contributor  to special entertainment-focused pieces.

In fact, Leakes recently did an interview with popular music mogul Jermaine Dupri in his Atlanta studio.  You can watch the clips here.  The segments are going to be called “Keeping it Real With NeNe” and will air weekdays at 6:46 a.m. on WXIA.

What do you think, Cameron Landing (or for that matter, anyone else reading this)?  I must admit that I do sometimes watch the show.  They have great drama and the catfights between the girls are entertaining, but I think a news station sacrifices some journalistic integrity when it uses “celebrities” to draw in viewers.  Drop me a comment and give me your thoughts.
