Who Will Be Champions?

manning1The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints are ready for their showdown. It all comes down to this one game. This last game played in sunny Miami, FL. The Super Bowl.

The two teams who had the best records of the season are determine to outdo the other, and my bet is with the Colts. After all they have the experience and Peyton Manning. What they don’t seem to have though is America’s backing.

Drew Brees and the Saints are trying to take “America’s Team” away from the Dallas Cowboys and with a win on Sunday they just might do that. I don’t know though. They have emotion, true, but that emotion might be their undoing.

No, it wasn’t the Super Bowl, but it sure did set a great stage for the big game. The Indianapolis Colts threw out the glass slipper for Matt Sanchez and the Cinderella Jets. It was a great game to watch and I am very impressed with Sanchez’s leadership and strength in the pocket. The Colts won 30-17.

The New Orleans Saints are headed to their first Super Bowl in franchise history after defeating the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 in overtime. That game caused me a little more stress because it was hard to see Brett Favre go out in such a fashion. But if you turnover the ball, you are going to lose and the Vikings turned over the ball way too many times – 5 to be exact.

Now the two teams that spent most of their season undefeated will prepare to face each other. I know who I’m going for, but what about you? What did you think of the games yesterday?
